The main airport in the Twin Cities is MSP — Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport. You can fly directly into MSP from nearly anywhere in the world. Our airport has ranked the #1 airport for the last two years and is full of great food and shopping options. You can take the light rail directly from the airport to downtown Minneapolis.

Google Flights is a good tool for searching airfare and setting up price tracking for flights.

By Car / Carpool

If you are planning on driving, ask around in your local community to make a carpool to share costs. Some of the best Ingress memories are made during a road trip to an Anomaly! Consider renting a larger car for the weekend to fit more people. (Don’t forget to look for car rental discounts via credit unions, Costco, etc.)

By Bus

There are a variety of bus options available. Greyhound has routes from most cities. Coming from Milwaukee, Madison, or Chicago? MegaBus has direct routes from a handful of nearby cities at very reasonable costs.

By Train

Love trains? Minneapolis/St. Paul is on Amtrak’s Empire Builder route.

In downtown Minneapolis there is a variety of parking options from parking garages (which we locals call “parking ramps”) and lots to street parking and valet. There is a MPLS Parking app available for paying parking fares for on-street parking.

There are many hotels in downtown Minneapolis and the surrounding Twin Cities metro area. We have a block of rooms reserved at a Minneapolis hotel with a discounted price. Register today for details on hotels and more anomaly details.

Public Transportation

Public transportation comes in the form of light rail and buses. You can search and find route maps with Metro Transit. Google maps also provides good public transportation information. There is a Metro Transit app for digital payments. The app also has a Plan a Trip function that is good for planning. You can pay for fares as you go, or you can purchase a multi-use Visitor Pass.
